Are you a young physician? Are you worried about having so little money to start out with? Do people think of you as a “rich doctor” but you are not? Are you deep in student loan debt?
How about some cash? Would an extra 50K or 100K help you right now? Shall I write you a check?
How about this deal: I will give you 200K for 10% of all of your future earnings? What do you think? Is that the right price? I think I would have jumped at anything over 100K during my early years.
Taking anything less than 600K would have been foolish for me in retrospect. Your human capital (value of your earning ability) is your most valuable asset. You are rich, you just don’t know it.
